About the collection
The "Jacaranda Collection – After Dark" was designed as a tribute to the people who work around the clock to care for others. Doctors, nurses, researchers, support staff, and carers whose work continues long after the sun has set. Jacaranda trees are a familiar and comforting presence on The Prince Charles Hospital campus. Over the past four decades, they have offered shade, shelter, and moments of beauty for patients, families, and staff alike. When the Foundation was established in November 1986, the jacarandas would have just finished their annual bloom.

After Dark is a tribute to the vital work that continues throughout the night, often unseen, but always essential. It honours the dedication, compassion, and resilience of those who keep people safe and supported during all hours. This collection is very limited. Pieces will be added to my website as they’re completed.

Inspired by the dreamy purple canopy of Brisbane’s jacaranda trees, the Jacaranda Canopy Tote is a vibrant celebration of colour, texture, and handcrafted artistry. Rich violet corduroy forms the structured body of the bag, creating a beautifully tactile frame for the striking patchwork panel that runs across the front and back. The colourful strips feature intricate florals, abstract motifs, and shimmering accents that dance together like sunlight filtering through jacaranda blossoms. Elegant rose-gold hardware adds warmth and refinement, while the coordinating jacaranda-coloured strap offers versatility. Carry it by the soft corduroy handles for a classic tote silhouette, or attach the removable strap to wear it comfortably over the shoulder or crossbody. Designed to be both expressive and practical, this tote offers a spacious interior with a secure zip closure and internal pocket, making it perfect for everyday essentials while still feeling like a piece of wearable art.
