DESIGN
Every MeganGaea bag begins with an idea and a sketch. I spend time exploring shapes, proportions, and details before the first piece of fabric is ever cut. My design process blends creativity with practicality, considering how a bag will be used in everyday life while still feeling beautiful and distinctive. From early sketches to final pattern pieces, each design evolves slowly and thoughtfully until it feels just right.
SELECTION
Materials play a central role in every MeganGaea design. I carefully source fabrics from Australian-owned suppliers that are both beautiful and durable, often choosing reclaimed or limited-edition textiles to create something truly unique. Hardware is selected with the same care, with my signature rose-gold accents adding warmth and elegance. I’m also committed to cruelty-free design, and I am always exploring new sustainable materials, including innovative plant-based leathers.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each bag is individually handcrafted in my Brisbane studio. From cutting and interfacing to stitching and finishing, every step is completed by hand with careful attention to detail. I believe true luxury comes from the time and skill invested in the making, and I never rush the process. The result is a piece that is not only beautiful but made to be used, loved, and carried for years to come.
